Corn meal Griddle Cakes (vintage)
Cornmeal Griddle Cakes
2 C corn meal
1 C flour
1/2 tsp salt
1 T molasses
2 tsp Royal baking powder
milk or milk and water to thin the batter
Use a spoon to drop onto hot buttered skillet or griddle.
Serve with maple syrup or jam. I also love to add blueberries to my batter and fresh whipped cream with fruit. DEELISH!
